ATEST Applauds Senate Bipartisan Compromise on Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act
For Release: April 21, 2015
ATEST applauds the bipartisan effort in the Senate to reach a compromise on the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act (S. 178). At a time when it seems impossible to move important legislation, the Senate vote sends an important signal: Services must be in place to ensure human trafficking survivors do not return to exploitative and vulnerable situations, and resources must be available to enable law enforcement to hold perpetrators accountable. We look forward to working with interested members of the House of Representatives to move a strong bipartisan bill forward.
