ATEST Recommends Federal Funding Increases for FY22

ATEST is recommending increases in many federal programs for Fiscal Year 2022 in light of the increases in vulnerability caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our requests to the White House Office of Management and Budget were presented this month.

Recommendations include spending requests for the Department of Justice, Department of Labor, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Education, Department of State, the U.S. Agency for International Development, and the Department of Homeland Security.

The guiding philosophy behind the requests is balance, to ensure that victim-centered prevention and protection programs receive as much emphasis as prosecution efforts. ATEST advocates for a whloe of government approach to combating modern slavery and human trafficking inside the U.S. and around the world.
