Hidden in Plain Sight: Victims of Human Trafficking and Modern-day Slavery

Experts from the Alliance to End Slavery and Trafficking (ATEST) were joined by a survivor of human trafficking to discuss the challenges faced by victims here in the United States and and how these challenges can be overcome. In addition to what they are observing on the ground, panelists examined the circumstances under which individuals are trafficked, law enforcement’s role in addressing this crime, and key policy changes that can provide real solutions to this problem. Representatives from each of the organizations on the panel were available by chat during and post the event to answer questions raised by interested participants.
