VIDEO: Survivor Speaks at Congressional Briefing on Combating Exploitative Child Labor

On April 8, 2014 ATEST and The Child Labor Coalition convened a congressional briefing on combating exploitative child labor. The briefing featured a remarks by long-time champion, Senator Tom Harkin and James Kofi Annan, a child trafficking survivor and award-winning advocate. A panel of advocates and experts representing the U.S. Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), Solidarity Center and GoodWeave then discussed the important gains in reducing exploitative child labor and child trafficking worldwide, as well as their perspectives on ending the worst forms of child labor.
