ATEST Supports FY17 Federal Funding for Anti-Trafficking Programs
Human trafficking is a $150 billion industry. Current U.S. Government funding is insufficient to fight this crime and to meet the needs of victims and survivors. We need your support to ensure greater U.S. investment in programs that are critical to preventing human trafficking, punishing offenders, and providing support and services to victims. Federal agencies must be given the resources to combat this horrific crime if we are to better prevent future exploitation and identify victims earlier.
ATEST’s letter to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) urges OMB to request funds in the President’s FY17 budget to combat human trafficking and forced labor.
